What to bring: Please dress for the weather. Bring your own drinking water. Red flashlights are recommended for watching where you are walking. If you do not have a red flashlight, red cellophane will be provided for you to cover your light with. This will help everyone keep their eyes adjusted to darkness for better night sky viewing. Bringing items such as a folding chair, a blanket to sit on, and snack items are recommended but not required.
Where: Meet at the Group Lodge, about 2 miles north of the HQ building.
Parking: Parking will be available in the field to your right after you pass through the gate. Please exit the same way you enter.
Cost: This program is free with (day-use or camping) park entrance permit. Day-use entrance is $6 per person 13 years and up, free for visitors 12 years and under, and free to Texas State Park Pass holders.
If you are arriving after office hours, please use the self-pay station located in front of the HQ building. The self-pay station takes cash (exact change), check, reservation, or Texas State Parks Pass only.
Note: This program is subject to change or cancellation in the event of inclement weather.
