A celebration to recognize Juneteenth will be held at the Bertha Tryon/
Hendrick Arnold Black Cemetery on Monday, June 19
th at 11:00
am. The cemetery is located on old Medina Highway right off of Highway
16. Celebrating the delayed emancipation of slaves in Texas. Food & Drinks are provided ~ bring your favorite desert.
There will be a reading of the Emancipation Proclamation, a Wreath Laying Ceremony, a Flag & Rose Placement on each grave and a Special Performance by Dr. James Wilcox & San Antonio Mass Choir.
