Distance and difficulty: The hike will be about 2 miles. The difficulty is easy to moderate; some trail areas include rocky, uneven surfaces.
What to bring: Bring a flashlight (or headlamp) and your own drinking water to carry with you. Please dress for the weather and wear shoes that are comfortable for hiking.
Where to meet: In front of the HQ building.
Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is $6 per visitor 13 years and up; free for visitors 12 years and younger; free to visitors with a Texas State Parks Pass. Please use the self-pay station if arriving after office hours. The self-pay station takes cash (exact change), check, reservation, or Texas State Parks Pass only.
Note: In the event of inclement weather, the hike may be moved to the park roadways or cancelled.
