On September 11, 2001, the world as we knew it changed, forever. Most of us have emotional and shocking recollections of the moment when we first saw the images of a smoking World Trade Center.
We soon learned that our country was the victim of a terrorist attack, including two planes hitting the World Trade Center towers in New York City, another crashing into the Pentagon, and a fourth going down in a field in Pennsylvania on its way towards the White House.
Known now just as “9/11,” the 11th day of September is a time to mourn, remember, and honor the fallen from that day, as well as celebrate our resiliency and American ideals. Lest we forget...
