Hill Country Master Gardeners and library board members, Jan Grimes and Sue Hall, will discuss the challenges of growing vegetables in the Hill Country climate and soil, or lack thereof.
With spring just around the corner, now is the time to plan for the vegetables that you and your family family will enjoy. In order to make gardening in Bandera County easier and more enjoyable in 2017, Grimes and Hall will discuss various topics including raised bed and container gardening, soil composition and amendments and adapted vegetables plants for Texas zone 5.
Whether you are an experienced gardener with a green thumb of a new arrival to Bandera County, who wonders what could possibly grow in rocky soil, the library staff invites you to join us for an educational and rewarding event.
